BODYTALK
BodyTalk – Holistic healthcare
The body can be approached in many different ways. One effective approach taken in The BodyTalk System is to understand the functions of the body according to the discoveries of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Bioenergetic Psychology. These systems developed an understanding of the relationships between physical and psychological wellbeing.
Considering the whole-story of the body is extremely important to the healing process. By doing this, The BodyTalk System is providing a truly holistic approach to the treatment of disease. This understanding, along with the effective BodyTalk techniques is why The BodyTalk System is such an effective healthcare system.
The study of all this is fascinating. If you truly understand the energic psychological makeup of the body, you then start to appreciate how disease develops and why it is maintained.
Ultimately, the Bodymind knows best how to heal itself in a holistic way. Any interference by way of treating symptoms is only a compromise, for the real power of healing lies innately within the BodyTalk system.
What happens in a BodyTalk session?
BodyTalk uses the principles of consciousness-based medicine and your body’s innate wisdom to help it promote healing on all levels, with the BodyTalk practitioner finding out what your body needs to rebalance the flow of healthy energy.
A BodyTalk practitioner is trained to silently ask your body a series of questions outlined on an extensive Protocol and Procedure chart and using a muscle reflex technique. Your body knows what needs to heal and guides the priority and the healing route to be followed.
In BodyTalk, your body’s choice is ALWAYS honoured. The sequence to be addressed is determined by your body’s own innate intelligence or wisdom. To promote faster healing, the proper order of linking is most important.
A special technique – lightly tapping on your head to repair and your heart complex is used to restore the communication systems within your Bodymind. This links those parts that your body has prioritized.
Healing happens when parts of your body are re-synchronized and communicating with each other.
Your body knows how to heal itself – it just needs to remember how.
What are the balancing principles of BodyTalk?
- Ask the Body – Biofeedback system provides a Yes/No communication between your body’s innate wisdom and your practitioner, indicating what part to balance and when.
- Linking – Good health depends on optimum communication amongst all the systems of your body. The practitioner asks your body which organs, endocrine glands, body parts, or techniques etc needs to be linked to facilitate healing and renew vigour.
- The Tapping Procedure – One of the most important developments in the BodyTalk System, gently tapping on the body to get it to focus on healing has been part of some indigenous holistic systems, such as yoga, for centuries. Tapping the head (brain) to ‘fix’ the faulty communication and the sternum (heart complex) to ‘store’ the fix facilitates the body’s own ability to restore and maintain its optimum balance.
- Exaggerated Breathing – Exaggerated breathing helps your body locate and target the corrections. Inhaling scans the higher frequencies of your Bodymind including thoughts and emotions, while exhaling scans the denser frequencies – tissue, muscle and bone.
How does BodyTalk address injury & illness?
Thanks to the Innate Wisdom or Intelligence of Your Body.
BodyTalk is based on the simple, profound principle that your body is capable of healing itself at all levels. Natural healing is automatically initiated when you cut your finger or twist your ankle. The stresses of daily living can compromise your innate healing ability and lead to degeneration and illness. BodyTalk reminds your Bodymind to direct its healing to these neglected or compromised areas
What qualifications does a BodyTalk professional hold?
A CBP – Certified BodyTalk Practitioner has completed the foundation coursework BodyTalk Fundamentals of the BodyTalk System, re-monitored that coursework, and satisfied the standards of a Certified BodyTalk Instructor – in both a written and a practical exam. They need to demonstrate that they have masted the material and the techniques of the system.
Certified BodyTalk Practitioners are licensed practitioners and have integrated BodyTalk into their practice. Still others (including acupuncturists, chiropractors, MDs, and physical therapists) now practice BodyTalk almost exclusively, because they have discovered the results are permanent and fast.
